The glamourous evening that was highly supported by EATV crew as one of
the main sponsors had a very unique look this year when Diana Festo
emerged as new Miss Tanga winner over the weekend.
The stage and the whole event set up that took more than a week to put
in place was one that the residents had never experienced.
The event kicked off at 7.00pm on Saturday evening and it was evident
that the residents were well prepared for the event. Ladies were
glamorously dressed and the men were not left behind thus having very
unique red carpet moments never seen before in the area.
The red carpet was graced by the NIRVANA show host of EATV and to her
surprise Lotus was quick to comment that she was amazed by how
fashionable Tanga was.
For those who had travelled from Dar to experience this year’s Miss
Tanga, it was to our surprise how classy and fashionable this town can
be.
As well, the way Khadija Kipa the taarab songbird was able to take on
the stage and have the crowd sheer and scream out of their wits. Kopa
is the reigning queen of Taaarab in the East Africa region and in Tanga
it seems they were more than aware of that as they sang word to word
during all her performances.
